Chef Phúc Phạm (Patrick) and guest Chef Lucas Ophorst unite to craft a breathtaking 7-course fusion menu, a seamless dance of Asian heritage and Western finesse. Each dish is a story, meticulously plated, bursting with bold flavors and artistry.

Karppi’s head chef, Phúc Phạm (Patrick), is deeply passionate about crafting innovative menu concepts that seamlessly blend familiar, traditional, and iconic culinary flavors. Opening a restaurant in Helsinki, presents a great opportunity to create an "East meets West" dining experience.

When Chef Phúc Phạm (Patrick) formed a friendship with Chef Lucas Ophorst, it became a brotherhood rooted in a shared passion for flavor and culinary innovation. With his Asian heritage, Patrick is inspired to elevate Western-style cuisine, while Lucas, in turn, is captivated by infusing his creations with Asian influences. Together, they see this collaboration as a chance to learn from and inspire each other.

ABOUT OUR INVITED CHEF, LUCAS OPHORST
​
Chef Lucas Ophorst’s journey is one of passion, discipline, and self-discovery. Starting young, he developed his skills at the Michelin-starred Wereld Museum in Rotterdam under Chef Wim Severein. Seeking growth, he moved to Finland, where Kim Mikkola helped shape his culinary identity. There, he refined his philosophy, which is balancing creativity with simplicity. As head chef at Outo, he proved his leadership and innovation. Now, Lucas takes an experience-driven approach, blending precision with personal expression.
Lucas' style reflects both high-level precision and personal expression, aiming to surprise and delight guests while sharing his culinary perspective.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE
​As we preserve the authenticity of the traditional tastes, we use the original ingredients. Therefore, the event menu is NOT suitable for soy bean allergy.
​
​The menu has gluten-free and vegan versions available, also we can accommodate other cases of allergies and diets but it is very important that you inform us beforehand when you make reservations.
